Where Is Casa Ceibo?

Casa Ceibo is located just 45 miles south of the Equator and within Ecuador’s northwestern, coastal region of Manabí. Tucked discretely behind lush, reforested mangroves, on the shore of the Chone River Estuary, Casa Ceibo provides for quick access to the bay and Pacific Ocean, which can be reached within a few minutes by either boat or car.

Casa Ceibo also lies on the outskirts of the coastal city, Bahía de Caráquez, a small metropolis that’s home to approximately 30,000 residents and a destination vacation spot for many Ecuadorians.

“Bahía,” as the natives call it, is an exciting city to explore. It’s vibrant with rich, ancient history, a very diverse culture, attractive beaches and a popular sailing and fishing port. What’s more, Bahía is a standout community within Ecuador because of its designation as the country’s only “Eco-city.”

Beyond Bahía, throughout the region of Manabí, Casa Ceibo guests will delight in a treasure trove of exploration and adventure that's unique to this area of Ecuador. Considering the equator is so close, the combined topographical and environmental conditions of the surrounding lands and waters make Manabí one of the most biologically and ecologically diverse areas on our planet.

With everything from a progressive South American city to tropical forests, the ocean, archeological sites, a plantation-packed countryside, and quaint, remote towns offering intriguing cultural attractions, Manabí doesn’t disappoint.
