Casa Ceibo partners with an array of expedition companies and local outfitters, who are proven to deliver exceptional services for whale watching tours and deep-sea fishing trips. Casa Ceibo sits right on the bay, with the Chone River Estuary off to its east and the Pacific Ocean to its west. The various waters provide for extremely different experiences in fishing, whether casting a line in hopes of catching a trout or reeling in a prizeable billfish.

Of note, some of the world’s most active breeding grounds for Humpback whales is also located only about an hour’s boat ride south of Bahía and the hotel. Since the waters for both whale watching and deep-sea fishing can be rocky and rough, Casa Ceibo guests should prepare themselves for a truly adventurous experience in our native panga boat.

Casa Ceibo is also happy to coordinate other water-based activities for its guests. Sailing, windsurfing and surfing are popular sports in Manabí. The hotel’s private panga skiff, sea kayaks and pontoon boat (hotel captain provided) are available for guest use as well.
