Exotic Manabí has always been one of Ecuador’s best-kept secrets, particularly for destination travelers. Within this province, there's simply so much to see and do, everything from bird watching to whale watching, hiking, mountain biking, surfing, boating, wind surfing, fishing, hang gliding and much, much more. More recent efforts to protect, preserve and promote its very unique ecological virtues, in addition to its many coastal amenities have garnered both national and worldwide recognition.

Improvements in the travel infrastructure to and within this area of Ecuador have made it easier to get around, whether visiting nature preserves, national parks, the Pacific Coast, quaint hamlets, or its notable, historic cities. A treasure trove of adventure, Manabí is one of the most ecologically diverse parts of the world. The equator, just about an hour’s drive from Casa Ceibo, sits just a few minutes north of where the ocean’s warm and cold currents merge. This merging of waters creates highly complex, topographical and environmental conditions that support hundreds of varieties of plants, trees, animals and birds throughout the Manabí region. The coastal weather is comfortable and fairly predictable. Average temperatures hover around 25 degrees Celsius (77° F), with a lush, green season that runs roughly January thru May.

Casa Ceibo Boutique Hotel & Spa — an exotic, luxurious, unforgettable destination — is located on the outskirts of the coastal Manabí city: Bahía de Caráquez. Whether exploring Bahía or elsewhere in Manabí, Casa Ceibo’s guests may travel solo or in the company of the hotel’s bilingual guide. Casa Ceibo conveniently provides transportation to Manabí’s hidden gems, accessed either by the hotel’s private pontoon boat or SUV.

Individual excursions and packages may be customized and loosely structured to satisfy guest preferences. It’s possible to arrange for shorter or longer activities, a picnic lunch, refreshments, and stops for strolling beaches, shopping village vendors, chatting with the natives, or catching a breathtaking sunset. (Weather, roads and tides permitting, of course!) This leisurely flexibility is at the heart of Casa Ceibo’s luxury adventures and elite tours.

Below is a menu of some of the most popular trips and adventures within Manabí, which always begin after a delicious, full breakfast in Casa Cabo’s gourmet restaurant.
