How do I get to Casa Ceibo?

Casa Ceibo is conveniently located about an hour’s drive from the Manta airport in Ecuador’s coastal Manabí region. Daily flights from Quito to the Eloy Alfaro International Airport in Manta (MEC) are available in both the morning and afternoon with the two major airlines: Aerogal and Icaro. Guests originating in Guayaquil must connect in Quito before reaching Manta.

Casa Ceibo strives to provide its guests with an extremely comfortable experience. Casual, coastal dress is acceptable both about the property and in the restaurant, although many of our guests enjoy sprucing up a bit for dinner in our gourmet, award-winning restaurant. A few suggested items to pack for your stay include: binoculars, a camera, insect repellant, bathing suit, sun screen, a hat, adventure wear, sun-resistant shirts, light-weight safari pants, tennis/hiking shoes and flip flops. Standard Room, includes either a king or two double beds and in-room Jacuzzi: $300

Deluxe Room, includes a king or two double beds and in-room Jacuzzi, is larger than the standard room, and has two points of entry/exit with views of either the gardens or pool: $400

Poolside Suite, king bed, separate living room with two sofa sleepers, external private Jacuzzi, poolside and separate from main hotel building: $500

Presidential Suite, the largest room offered by Casa Ceibo, featuring its own terrace with views of the pool, a king bed, separate living room with two sofa sleepers and an in-room Jacuzzi: $650

Do I need vaccinations?

Typically, vaccinations are not necessary for traveling to the Manta region of Ecuador and visiting Casa Ceibo. However, it’s important for guests to consult the requirements of their country before visiting. Some vaccinations are strongly recommended if visiting other areas of Ecuador, particularly the Amazon basin. Pregnant women are also usually encouraged to take extra precautions. Are mosquitoes a problem?

About the hotel pool, gardens and waterfront, mosquitoes are generally not a nuisance. However, it’s always a good idea to bring insect repellant, which is a must for the popular excursions into the mangrove and dry, tropical forests. Malaria profilactics are not necessary for this region of the country, although important for Casa Ceibo guests who plan to visit other areas of Ecuador, such as the Amazon basin.
