La Costa, Pacific Coast

About half of Ecuador’s territorial boundary runs along its western edge, the Pacific Coast. Towering cliffs, rocky inlets, fresh water rivers that spill into big bays, and, of course, the country’s golden beaches greet an ocean that gives visitors an unlimited number of activities, adventures and breathtaking sunsets. Some of the best whale watching and deep sea fishing in the world is located just off the coast of Ecuador. A number of quaint towns and coastal cities cater to surfing, sailing and other popular water sports.

Back a bit from the shoreline, smaller farms as well as plantations harvest the food supply for local and global needs alike. La Costa region boasts a number of fascinating archeological sites and some of the country’s best archeological and cultural museums. There are also plenty of national parks, as well as internationally-renown bird, wildlife and ecological reserves.

Casa Ceibo Boutique Hotel & Spa is located within Manabí, one of the four provinces of La Costa region. The waterfront, luxury destination sits on the outskirts of Ecuador’s beachfront city, Bahía de Caráquez.
